While serving as Director of Marketing and Creative Services at NWACC, I had the opportunity to lead the college in a rebrand. We worked with an agency to research, plan, and develop two new logos and branding. I was involved in all stages of the rebrand.
I assisted with the research phase by gathering assets for the brand audit, sourcing people for several focus groups, and getting people to take our survey. The agency we worked with said that we had a record number of people complete our survey compared to other schools they’ve worked with. We received about 2,000 responses to the survey.
We worked through many iterations of logos before we landed on the finished products, which I’m very proud of. For the NWACC logo, we wanted something that honored the past logo, but moved the college into the future, and I think we nailed it. For the NWACC Athletics logo, we wanted something fierce and competitive that complimented the college logo, and we accomplished that.
The rebrand was a lot of work, but I enjoyed working on this project with my team. I got to plan the reveal event, which was fun. I decided on a huge banner drop for each logo. You can see this in the video clip below. Immediately after the logos were revealed, we made sure the branding was implemented on our website, social media, on swag, and on banners around campus.
We created this video to reveal the new logos on NWACC's social media accounts.
I designed, ordered, and installed these banners for the logo reveal event at NWACC.
